The Symbol has the head of a tiger, which is the symbol of the group, and four aircraft in this case one cargo, one fighter, one helicopter and 1 executive jet, representing the team spirit, some of the aircrafts we use and the coordenation between members in the missions.
In the lower section we have the name of the group 509th Wild Tigers which correspond to the date in which the group was founded May the 5th 2009.
The big letters, SO, identifies our area of action and focus “Special Operations”. Finally but not least, in the upper section we have our motto “Com Garra e Prontidão” wich doesn’t have a direct translation but it something like always ready and waiting to act.
